Elena Parashko Gallery has an obligation free policy in the commissioning of custom designed artwork. This is an effective no risk policy giving you a unique opportunity to participate in the creation of an original work of art to suit your individual tastes and needs.
If you have photograph you would like painted, then simply email the image and preferred size of the painting to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will provide you with a written quote.
If reference material such as a photo cannot be supplied, then through a consultation process, we will work out your specific requirements. Factors such as subject matter, mood, colour, size, purpose, painting medium and surface, framing, price range, delivery etc will be taken into consideration. Once I understand exactly what you are looking for, then a preliminary sketch or small sample painting of the proposed artwork will be created giving you an opportunity for further comment and refinement of the image. A quote will also be issued.
After the quote is accepted, then artwork will be completed within the negotiated time frame. Timing will depend upon the level of complexity of the painting and other commission commitments. A photograph of the completed painting will be sent to you for final approval before the artwork is varnished. Payment is due upon final approval of the artwork and then it will be shipped.
Note: After a quote has been accepted, sample sketch approved and painting begun, if there are any further requests for changes or additions to the artwork, then an additional fee may be charged to cover the cost of extra materials and labour.
Upon viewing of the finished piece, if you are not completely satisfied for any reason, then there is no obligation to purchase the artwork. It will then be offered for sale on the Elena Parashko Gallery website or other galleries. As artist I will retain full copyright of the artwork.
Framing [back to top]
The purchaser may request to buy most paintings framed or unframed. For details about the colour and style of existing frame, please email the artist via the Contact page. If preferred, paintings can be purchased unframed so the buyer can arrange their own choice of framing. In this case, the cost of the existing frame will be deducted from the purchase price.
Some paintings do not have a framed price, indicated by "frame:N/A". These paintings are on a canvas that has been stretched over wooden stretcher bars. They are ready to hang and do not require framing. This creates a very sleek and contemporary look.
To ensure safe delivery outside Australia, large paintings on stretched canvases are usually removed from stretchers and delivered rolled in a tube. Upon delivery, they can be restretching onto a frame at the expense of the buyer. If you would like the painting to be delivered on the existing stretcher and be ready for hanging, please contact the artist for a quote as the additional weight of the fragile freight package will incur an increased packing and postage charge.
A Certificate of Authenticity, signed and numbered by the artist, is issued with the purchase of each limited edition Giclee reproduction. A Certificate of Origin, signed by the artist, is issued with the purchase of the original artwork which was scanned for the Giclee reproductions. Only one Certificate of Authenticity is produced for each reproduction and only one Certificate of Origin is produced for the original painting. It is advised that these certificates are protected against loss or damage as they cannot be replaced.
The measurements given for each artwork are the actual size of the painting or drawing. Please contact the artist if you would like to know the measurements for the perimetre of the frame.
Gift Certificates [back to top]
Gift Certificates are the perfect way of giving the gift of fine art without the risk of making the wrong choice. Choose from the current collection available from Elena's studio or online gallery or have a work of art specially custom designed. Gift Certificates can also be redeemed for art classes or interactive painting demonstrations.
To purchase a Gift Certificate – Simply email Elena via the Contact page on this website or call 0404 032 785 to order a Gift Certificate with a personalised message and for the dollar value of your choice. Payment can be made via Paypal, direct deposit, cheque or cash.
After payment is received, a personalised Gift Certificate will be posted to either you or the recipient of the gift. There is no time limit on redemption of Gift Certificates so the recipient has the opportunity of taking advantage of additions of new paintings to the collection.
To Redeem a Gift Certificate - Contact Elena and quote the issue number on your Gift Certificate. Arrangements will be made as to how to select and collect your work of art/art class/painting demonstration.
If the chosen painting or drawing is valued at a lesser amount than the value of the Gift Certificate, then a credit for the difference will be registered. A subsequent Gift Certificate will be issued to the recipient as proof of, and to the value of, this credited amount. This Gift Certificate can be redeemed on the marked price of any future purchase of fine art.
If the chosen artwork is valued at a higher amount than the value of the Gift Certificate, then the customer can redeem the Gift Certificate and then pay the outstanding balance themselves via the PayPal option.

Currency [back to top]
All advertised prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).
International clients can calculate the price of artwork in their own currency by using the "currency converter" located at the top of each gallery page and at the bottom of each order form.
Postage and Handling [back to top]
Deliveries of artwork within Australia will be sent via Australia Post for small to medium pieces and Inexpress for large pieces. An insurance, packing, postage and handling fee of $55 per painting is payable by the purchaser when placing the order.
Deliveries of artwork outside Australia will be sent via Express International Courier service. A packing, postage and handling fee of AUD 95 per painting is payable by the purchaser when placing the order. This fee also covers insurance, tracking and signature on delivery.
If more than one painting is purchased, then depending on dimensions of the artwork, it may be possible to package them together, thereby only incurring one delivery charge. Contact the artist for details.

Delivery [back to top]
Upon receipt and confirmation of payment for paintings, allow up to 7 working days for delivery within Australia. Allow up to 14 days for international deliveries. Please note that in some countries, artwork considered of high value may require additional processing and local government fee upon arrival in customs. This may cause some delay in delivery.
Giclee reproductions will require an additional 10 days to allow for customised production and drying time. Please note there will be a delay in production of Giclees over the Christmas and New Year period as the contracted digital imaging company is closed for the last week of December and the first 2 weeks of January each year.
Insurance [back to top]
All paintings are covered by insurance in transit. If the artwork is received in a damaged condition, the purchaser must notify email@example.com on the day of delivery.
Return Policy [back to top]
All purchases include a 7 day “cooling off” period in which the purchaser has the right of returning the artwork and having the purchase price refunded (less postage and handling costs. That is, $55 for deliveries within Australia and AUD 95 for international deliveries).
elenaparashko.com must be contacted by the purchaser within 7 days of receipt of the artwork to arrange the return.
Returns must be repacked in exactly the same way as when received on delivery (to be covered by insurance). Return postage and handling costs are to be paid by the purchaser. The refund will be processed upon return of the artwork.
